Katrín Davíðsdóttir is an Icelandic CrossFit athlete, photographed in Iceland. Katrín, a former gymnast, was the female CrossFit world champion in 2015 and 2016. She is the first CrossFit athlete to be featured in the ESPN Body Issue.
Malakai Fekitoa is a Tongan-born rugby player, photographed in Hawaii. Malakai overcame a childhood injury in which his hip was dislocated to play rugby for the under-20 national team at 16 years old, and then for the All Blacks, New Zealand's revered national side, then for Toulon in France, and the Wasps in England.
Chris Mosier is a pioneering transgender athlete, photographed in New York state. Chris began his transition in 2010 after competing as a female triathlete in 2009, and in 2015, he secured a place on Team USA as a duathlete, making him the first openly transgender athlete to compete for a US national team. Mosier is the first transgender athlete to be featured in The Body Issue.
